Jalileh Garcia

Co-Founder

Jalileh leads our in-country work in Honduras, where she coordinates with grassroots organizations and movements to build advocacy campaigns and critical accompaniment to criminalized human rights defenders.

She received an MSc in Nature, Geography, and Environmental Governance from the University of Oxford and holds a B.A. in Human Rights from Columbia University. She has worked with directly-impacted communities in Honduras and organized with the Central America diaspora to visibilize the social-political crises in the isthmus. She is the former Director of the Witness for Peace Honduras Program (2023-2024).
