On July 22, 2024, the Bufete Estudios para la Dignidad (BED), Movimiento Amplio por la Dignidad y la Justicia (MADJ), FUNDAMBIENTE, and Lawyers Without Borders Canada presented a petition to the UN Committee on Social, Cultural, and Economic Rights (CESCR) on behalf of the Maya Chortí community impacted by Aura Mineral’s operations in Honduras.
